Remember when you were a little kid and it was so fun to plan your Halloween costume? ?You?d get it all set up weeks in advance?you?d try it on several times leading up to the big day?the night before you?d lay it out nice and neat ready to put on for school?then the day of you?d spend time ?trick or treating? in your classrooms and halls of the school?on Halloween night you got to walk around the blocks of your neighborhood with bags ready to be filled with all sort of teeth-rotting goodies. ?That was the life!
Although we?ve all left the candy behind us and you may not have planned the costume in much advance, there?s nothing wrong with still dressing up in an absurd costume for no reason at all. ?This next Wednesday, October 31st, Halloween?we are going to be having a Halloween costume contest at Norcal Strength and Conditioning. ?The only catch is, it has to be a costume that you can train in?that?s actually the real reason you?re coming in afterall (I would recommend staying away from much eye/face makeup so it doesn?t bleed into your eyes when you start sweating). ?Throughout the day, the coaches will be snapping pics of the people who dress up in classes and then putting the pics up for a vote. ?The winner of the contest will receive?one free personal training session with me.
Get your creative thinking caps on and dress to win!

Jenny LaBaw has been an athlete her entire life. As a 3-sport collegiate athlete, she competed in soccer, indoor and outdoor track and field. Post college she fulfilled her need for competition through endurance races ranging from 5K?s to marathons. Jenny?s athletic emphasis now is focused more on strength challenges, but she continues to be tempted by the occasional running race. Outside of competition, Jenny enjoys many outdoor activities, including mountain biking, hiking, water skiing, snow skiing, and camping with her boyfriend, Marcus and lab, Ziggy. With her love for sport and exercise, Jenny chose a career as a personal trainer so she could share her passion of health and fitness with others. Attending Cornell College, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education: Fitness and Wellness. Prior to Norcal, she has trained in gyms, private training studios, and coached soccer. Jenny has had an amazing opportunity to travel around the country coaching water skiers.
